I was going to say the same thing as Alicia & fDave... living in the Southwestern U.S. you hear "uno momento" all the time for "just a moment".

Memento is definitely related to memory, as in a keepsake to inspire your memories. :)

My memory trick to differentiate "stationary" (set or still) and "stationery" (writing paper) is that the word spelled with a "e" means it needs an "e"nvelope and the word with an "a" describes the place something is "at."

@Siva The additional "and"s add emphasis and emotion to the statement; the author could use commas, but chooses not to to more effectively communicate their feelings.

Hello everybody! I've a small query in the below quoted phrase. Why can't the author use comma(,) between each skills instead of specifying AND every time? I assume that AND can be used at the last instance and COMMA at the multiple instances. Please clarify me.

I think the Spanish for memento is "recuerdo".

My native language is Spanish dear fdave, and, yes! there's a word "momento" which in English is "moment = a very short time".
However, I hadn't heard of this word "memento". Thanks a lot dear Grammar girl!!! =)

I always thought "momento" was Spanish for "moment", as in "uno momento".
